The last time fans heard about former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, he had been scratched from the UFC 200 main event because of an anti-doping violation. But Jones made headlines a couple of different times leading up to the fight – good and bad.
One of those incidents was back March 24 when Jones was pulled over by a police officer and cited for drag racing. The incident, which included footage from the officer’s body camera of Jones denying he was racing and calling the officer a “liar” and a “pig,” violated the former champion’s terms of probation from a hit-and-run crash in September 2014 – an incident that led to the UFC suspending him and stripping him of the light heavyweight title.
According to a report from TMZ, Jones has entered a plea deal in the drag-racing case.
