Ever since Amanda Nunes captured the UFC women’s bantamweight championship from Miesha Tate at UFC 200, fans and critics have been wondering who would be her first challenger for the belt.
“The Lioness” has a couple of potential challengers for her first UFC title defense, including “The Ultimate Fighter 18” winner Julianna “The Venezuelan Vixen” Pena and Valentina “Bullet” Shevchenko.
Pena and Shevchenko both went on Twitter to call out Nunes. Both fighters proposed to have their bouts with Nunes at UFC 205, which is scheduled for Madison Square Garden in New York City. Some folks believed that former champion “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey would challenge for the title at the event, President Dana White confirmed the former champion, who hasn’t fought since November of last year, would not ready for the event.
