Eric LeGrand to receive the 2017 Warrior Award

Former Rutgers University football standout and motivational speaker Eric LeGrand will receive the 2017 Warrior Award on the night of the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.

I’ve seen home people harp on LeGrand getting the award because “Warrior would want a backstage WWE person to get it.”

During his 2014 Hall of Fame speech, Warrior did say that backstage personnel should be honored – and I agree with him – but he never said “Now WWE, if you name an award after me, you HAVE to give it to a WWE employee.”
Laggard was paralyzed after an injury and, like Warrior, he is a motivational speaker. He’s also earned the following accolades:

* Unsung Hero Award by the New Jersey Hall of Fame
* Jimmy V Award for Perseverance at the 2012 ESPYs
* No. 52 retired by Rutgers University
* Most Influential Person in New Jersey by The Star-Ledger.

If you don’t like that LeGrand is receiving this honor, get the f*** over it.
