This is a story I wrote for Champions.
The post-#Wrestlemania #RAW is known for wrestlers making their big returns – or debuts – and two of #NXT’s biggest stars made their long-awaited foray in a #WWE ring.
Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder, better known as the two-time NXT tag team champions, #TheRevival, made their WWE main roster debut with a win over former tag team kingpins, The New Day. The trio made an open challenge to any team and NXT’s “Top Guys” answered the call.
It was a great showing for Dawson and Wilder, who hit the Shatter Machine – which is probably the best name for a tag team maneuver – on Xavier Woods for the win. After the match, The Revival put a beatdown on Kofi Kingston. For The Revival to pick up a win over a team as high caliber as The New Day, who hold the record for longest reign as tag team champions, on their first night as a main roster team is a pretty big deal.
